Created ‘fast and loose’ with vigour and my beloved Extra Large Charcoals, I wanted to portray a great deal with very few big, bold strokes on the canvas.
‘Undress my Soul’ rapidly emerged before me, she is a sensual, primal, spiritual woman, enticing the viewer into the painting to discover her raw feminine power.
I loved creating the merest suggestion of fabric, it is barely there, simply folds of ethereal nothingness swathed across her muscular form.
She is one of the strongest, fastest pieces I have created to date and I can almost feel her energy pulling me back in.
