A powerful, spiritual, strong and soulful Impressionistic Contemporary Painting of a Young Dancer, this is my second canvas painting for 2021.
There is a strong sense of power and freedom in this painting, she is inviting the light into her soul (or maybe she is emitting the light from her soul?) as this young dancer dances within the canvas.
I have used bold colours but in dark hues, there are deep greens and blues with pops of the brightest yellows and white highlights.
The immense feeling of power in this young dancer’s heart and outstretched hand are accentuated with vibrant accents of colour which are hard to convey in a photograph, but incredibly bright and really add to the soulful liberating feeling of this piece when viewed ‘in the flesh’!
There is strength, love and hope for the future in this Original Painting of a Dancer and I do hope she represents that, and more?!
