‘The Colours of You’ – An Original Oil Pastel and Charcoal mixed media drawing of two ballet dancers.
As the female ballerina leaps up to kiss and embrace her dance partner, her vibrant colours are beginning to merge within his body, passionately bringing him to life.
I am passionate about creating paintings of dancers and adore using my beloved oil pastels. From the outset with this particular piece, I loved the idea of blending the colours through from one dancer to the other, but leaving some of my initial charcoal drawing still visible. I do hope you think it’s worked!
