‘Marilyn, Fly Soft Within My Soul’
Inspired by a photograph I had never previously seen, it was the dear little bird that instantly captured my heart, almost upstaging the iconic infamous beauty who left this difficult world far too young.
I wanted to capture the magic of a deep and private conversation between Marilyn and the sweet soft bird, a gentle love and silent understanding we can almost hear with our eyes.
I am more than a little obsessed with birds. Their truthful songs and genuine voices, no attention-seeking fanfare, just daily life in nature, survival with a sound that never fails to lift the heart.
I hope you can ‘hear’ the emotion I felt when creating this piece and that Marilyn and her dear little bird ‘sing’ to you.
