I Am The Storm is a large impressionistic contemporary Canvas Painting of a dancer emanating pure athletic strength and drama, and painted in my typically ‘less is more’ ethereal style.
With strong lines and bowed head, the dancer is almost an awakening spirit bearing his soul for all to see.
He has been through the darkness and is now rising above his inner turmoil as realisation dawns that he can weather the storm and bring back the light which is visibly radiating from within and surging all around him with immense force and energy.
I have used cool denim and indigo shades of blues with white, and the palest of lilac highlights for accents and to give him an almost heavenly, ethereal glow.
This is an emotive piece that came right from the heart, and I hope you can feel the deep emotion I poured into this painting of a dancer. After the darkness, there can only be light!
