Feeling Good – Original Canvas Painting of a Burlesque Dancer is possibly one of the liveliest, and definitely the sauciest of my canvas paintings to date and what great fun she and I had together as she emerged, dancing before my eyes!

Inspired by the most glamorous teaser of them all, Dita Von Teese, my large impressionist canvas painting is contemporary, vibrant and a burst of movement and colour.

I went in, all ‘paint guns’ blazing at this canvas! Playful and joyful, I loved the way that hearts and kisses appeared as if by magic as I let myself loose on her, feathers flying in all directions.

‘Feeling Good’ by Nina Simone is one of my most ‘favouritest’ songs of all time and it felt so fitting for this painting that I had no trouble whatsoever deciding on her title.

I hope you can see and feel the life and love that I poured into this painting of a burlesque dancer, and I also hope her lively zest for life leaks out of the canvas and that she makes you feel good!
